DISCOVER PINE KNOLL
Though we are a small school out in the country we strive to make it the best experience possible for our families. Because of our smaller size we can really get to know each one in a way that we wouldn't be able to in a larger capacity center and our goal is to do just that. OUTDOOR PLAY
As weather permits, we enjoy spending as much time outside as possible. Whether it be going on nature walks, playing on the playground, or going out to search for things that we are learning about.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Each day on top of their age appropriate papers they have as class time we try to come up with a cute craft for them to make so that they have something tangible that helps them to remember all that they have learned.
COOKING CLASS
Each week the kids get to make some sort of food that goes along with the current letter they are learning about.
SUMMER CAMP
During the summer is when we usually have some more older kids than normal. Our schedule looks a bit different then but the waterslide is always a hit - no matter how old you are!
IMAGINATIVE PLAY
The kids have plenty of self-guided time where they can play pretend, dress up, and use their imaginations on a daily basis.
CLASS PET CARE
The kids have helped to raise the school bunny since he was about 4 months old. It helps them to learn how to be responsible, gentle, and mindful around animals. His name is Pine and 99% of the time he can be found during the week in his area at school.
HANDS ON LEARNING
We are full believers in learning through play and giving them hands on opportunities to learn in fun and interesting ways as often as it is possible.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Christmas play, Holiday parties, Graduations, etc. We're always looking for an opportunity to make special memories with the children.
